Can you work Pass the test of worship?

Yesterday was Sunday and many would have served their best to impress God as Christians same way the Muslims would have served their best on Friday.

But all through the week some aliens from Mars invade earth to sell substandard products across various stores and put up shoddy job for their employers. Some even steal from their boss’ time yet complain about low salaries when their work ethics is so poor and their productivity low. Some loot their countries dry and refuse to build basic amenities yet organize major events to impress God.

It was Mukesh Ambani the richest man in India who once said ‘Work is worship unto God and we must never serve to the customer what has not passed the test of worship unto God’

You know what that means?

Zero margin of error. The wealthiest nations on earth measure productivity per hour and sloppiness is unacceptable.

Sometimes you wonder if everyone that sings can also offer their service at work to God and if it would be acceptable to God? Imagine if God were to do your appraisal as your new human resource manager what do you think your appraisal will look like?

Today is Monday and another time to shine your light at work. You were hired to add value not to create problem for your employer. My mentor once taught me that there are four things your employer expects;

  • Help him make more money
  • Help him save more money
  • Help him increase his market share
  • Help him improve his brand.

Worship can’t be slow songs alone; let your work become your worship and let’s see if God can accept it from you this week.
